A tubular centrifuge spins a long, narrow bowl at 15,000 rpm. The liquid enters at the bottom and is flung outward: heavier liquid forms the outer layer against the bowl wall and lighter liquid forms the inner layer, and the two discharge continuously through separate outlets at the top.
For clarification, one outlet is closed and clean liquid discharges continuously, while solids build up inside the bowl. The solids are removed by hand after stopping the machine.
The body is built in carbon steel or stainless steel depending on the application. A pilot unit is available for trials, and major spare parts are held in stock by the manufacturer.
