Coconut & VCO

Filtration and separation for virgin coconut oil, copra oil and coconut water, from screening crude oil to removing foots and polishing the final product.

The Philippines is one of the world’s largest coconut producers. We have exhibited at the World Coconut Congress and supply equipment for every stage, from crude oil screening to final polishing.

VCO is especially sensitive: it must stay bright and free of sediment without heat or chemicals that would compromise the “virgin” label. That makes mechanical separation, using filter presses, centrifuges and fine polishing filters, the right fit.

Where we help

  1. 01

    Crude oil screening

Vibrating screens remove fibre and coarse solids from crude coconut oil (CNO) before further treatment.

  2. 02

    VCO foots removal

Filter presses separate the fine sediment ("foots") from virgin coconut oil, leaving a bright oil and a firm cake.

  3. 03

    VCO clarification

Tubular centrifuges clarify VCO continuously, at about 600 – 800 L/h on the AS26 model.

  4. 04

    Polishing and bleaching

Pressure leaf and sparkler filters polish refined oil and remove bleaching earth.

  5. 05

    Coconut water

High-solids crossflow filtration clarifies coconut water without filter aid.

  6. 06

    Deodorizing and distillation

Structured packing for deodorizers and fatty acid columns.
